Our impressions from R+T 2024 in Stuttgart

In the second half of February, the city of Stuttgart in south-west Germany hosted Europe’s largest trade fair for shading technology, R+T. It is held regularly every three years, but the last edition in 2021 was only online due to the Covid pandemic. The expectations were even higher this year — was the fair able to meet them?

Day #5: gradual finish, celebrations and dismantling of the stand

The last day of the R+T fair was quieter as usual. Nevertheless, we made the most of it, greeting some colleagues and business partners again, and some of our team even stayed in Stuttgart until Saturday to sleep in and enjoy a visit to the Porsche Museum.

Day #4: attendance remains high, but we still went exploring

The second-to-last day of R+T was also marked by very high attendance. Reinforced by new members of the sales and marketing team, this time we were able to leave our stand for a longer period of time and take a good look around the entire exhibition area. So how does it look in Stuttgart this year?

We wanted NEVA’s stand to attract attention but not to dominate, says Roman Vrtiška

It is by no means the largest or most expensive, yet our trade fair stand at R+T in Stuttgart is attracting attention. It is dominated by huge blue fans made of aluminium slats, which aim to “dress” the stand, but at the same time leave it open and accessible. The co-author of the design, Roman Vrtiška from VRTIŠKA & ŽÁK studio, explains in an interview how the company thought about the design of the stand.

DAY #3: WE ROTATED THE STAFF AND ORDERED MORE BEER AND SAMPLERS

The R+T trade fair entered its second half on Wednesday at noon and attendance was breaking records. The day was once again marked by many meetings, and to stay fresh until the end of the fair, we made a partial staff rotation. The owner Ladislav Vrána returned to the Czech Republic, while the second owner Jiří Nesvadbík and new people from the sales and marketing team arrived.

DAY #2: ATTENDANCE IS NOT DECREASING, INTEREST IN THE FAIR AND OUR STAND IS HUGE

The R+T trade fair in Stuttgart continued on Tuesday with a second day. The beer is disappearing at a faster pace than we expected, the booth is as busy as grand central station, and some of our salespeople are having dozens of meetings a day. But we still took the time to peek at other exhibitors’ booths as well.

DAY #1: HIGH ATTENDANCE AT THE FAIR AND GREAT INTEREST IN OUR STAND

The first day of the R+T trade fair in Stuttgart is over. Unusually this year, it started on Monday (compared to the usual Tuesday), but despite the fears, this did not have any negative impact on the attendance. On the contrary — the first day was very lively.

We are introducing a new product: flush-mounted textile screen

Following two-year development, we are launching a new product: flush-mounted textile screen. The screen is unique in having no visible welds or screws, so it has a absolute clean design. We presented the new textile screen for the first time at February’s R+T 2024 external shading trade fair in Stuttgart.
